Rwandan Premium Artisanal Coffee – Single Origin
This coffee is ethically sourced and grown in the highly mountainous Gakenke district in the Northern Province, using modern eco-friendly and natural processing methods. It is characterized by its striking caramel & chocolate aroma, effervescent citrus flavor profile with high complexity, and excellent elderflower sweetness.
It regularly registers an impressive SCAA score of 86 and above and has received several accolades over the years including the 2007 Rwandan Presidential Golden Cup and the 2015 Cup of Excellence.
More commonly known as a “French Roast”, this coffee is dark brown in color and the beans are shiny with oil. Quite intense, bold & somewhat sweet, it is much less acidic than a Filter and has a thin body with a more watery mouthfeel
